What if Yellow is bliss? And Yellow is Beauty? And Yellow is good?
I look at the older children of Yellow Rooms. Some of them work at our office. They are ordinary. Like we are. They appear ordinary and regular like any other team member. Till you remember where they come from. What their lives were poised to be if Yellow Rooms hadn’t magically appeared in their communities. It’s not hard to see. Their older siblings that grew up without Yellow Rooms are the strongest examples of the sad ‘before’, while these children are the ‘after’.
Their ordinariness makes you forget. You forget where they began. I forget.
Till you see them laughing and dancing and your heart fills with a strange tiny joy. And then sometimes right after the tiny joy you’re hit with the realization of what would have been. And you’re stunned into silence. And then a joy that could perhaps be called bliss.
